Holding On

Frozen,she lies on the floor
The reckless flames of her burning soul seek an escape from their rotten cage
Her perishing gaze glinting over its shattered reflection
Bruised fingers tapping along to the rhytm of the rain
Her tired heart once again trys to pump up life....
Despite the constant screams of it’s distorted mind

Holding on becomes a struggle
When emotions die while promises lie
When peace is found under the wings of pain
When tears dry up and let the drought of hopelessness rule her mind
When diciplined thoughts interlock with her frantic feelings....

Now crawling on her knees,she tires to get up again
Fearing her every step
For she will be sacrificing her only weapon against emptiness,
(Pain)
Her only key to the insanity that keeps her sane....

Nails digging up on dirt
Scratching out her lonely words
Prayers hung up on the barren air
Waiting to be swept by the breezes of hope
To finally answer her forlorn calls

Now standing up
Her tears watering her broken soul
Her eyes fixed with determination
She holds her heart under her clinched fists
Her mind is now stronger with the screams of old memories
Willing to take the risk
She holds on....

Slowly the images will start to drift in
Captivating your mind using the contrast of innocent rain and roaring thunder
Little teardrops frozen on the window pane
Trapped by lost stares
A poem carved on the musty air
Misunderstood,for the ending lies behind the lines
Path to revcovery ended with proven lies
Decided for you even before the start
Pulsing pain cured by the protection of chemical theories
Who knew it would be so easy to swallow your fear?!
Angst collected by every word left unsaid
Dusted away by every syllable combusting in the air
Along with the desperate silence in your every breath....
