New years Resolutions

To be honest I usually suck at following my new years resolutions..But this year going to base them on the lessons that Ive learned from last year and I'm determined to stick with them,because I know the biggest obstacle that stands between  us and our dreams is actually ourselves...
Anyway so here it goes....:)

1. Stop thinking about what happened in the past and  about what will happen in the future.The past has guided me to where I am today.its a series of shadows of experiences and those experiences will always be behind my back,supporting me.It doesnt really matter if they are good or bad experiences,because from the bad ones I have learned to appreciate the light and from the good ones Ive learned that no tunnel lasts forever,theres always light at the end which we will see when we truly accept the darkness.If I stay in the past worrying about the seconds that Ive lost ,I'm losing the seconds ticking away right now...As for the future,it will shape from the actions that Im doing now.

     2. Remember that nothing really ends,the end of something is the start of something else.

    3. Being lost in the details will eventually make us forget what the real issue was...So see what the   general picture is telling you.

    4.Without pain...comes no true happiness.Value both.

    5.Nobodys lonely because even if theres no one near you that understands,there are many people out there that feel the same way as you and they do understand....

   6.Don't question whether the glass is half full or half empty question whats filling it
  
   7.You will have a better understanding of the world around you when you've begun to understand yourself

   8. And finally here's a quote by Don Williams Jr,"The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination" :)

Sweet silence of solitude appears behind the moon
Echos in the midnight sky
Soon they will turn into screams of suffering
Burning feathers of fear swifting along the frigid air

Trapped in a broken cage
Crafted from shattered hopes
I lie awake
Wishing I can get blinded by tears to escape from this hell

But those tears that once watered my soul
Seems to have faded away...
Lost in the forgotten lullaby of truth,
A requiem for the nameless dead

I give up!
So I let this eternal symphony embrace my soul

Who cares?

Hello,Can You Hear Me???

Recently i've been thinking about how many of us actually feel alone because of the lack of communication within our society.Yes,we have mobile phones,facebook,twitter etc... and we can reach eachother within seconds...But if thats the case then why do we still feel lonely? How come we feel isolated when we are surrounded by people?

I think we all just need two ears that will truely listen to us,two set of eyes that will actually look at us with an understanding manner.Unfortunately everybody seems to be too lost at the reflection given to us by life,that we arent able to see behind that thick curtain of stress,money,social status,success,beauty....????? And what lies beneath is actually the ability to speak empathy.....along with it compassion,benevolence and clemency!!!!

Here is an engrossing experiment about the relation between delaying gratification and its impact on success.Joachim de Posada states that if our ability of delaying gratification is good we are more likely to be successful in our lives.Basically kids aged 4-6 years old are left in a room by themselves while being given a marshmallow and they are told to not eat the marshmallow for 50 minutes in order to get another one.According to Joachim de Posada the kids who didnt eat the marshmallow are more likely to be successful later on in their lives.I do value delayed gratification and endurance,however this speech left me with some questions in my mind.Would the childeren act the same way if they werent told how long they had to wait? and does telling them to not eat the marshmallow accually cause an opposite reaction in their minds?

This is a very intersting talk about the right and left sides of the brain.Can we really seperate these parts that sharply? or do we accually mix the properties of the right and the left side? However are we using both equally in our society today? Iain McGilchrist suggests that we are mostly using the properties of the left brain .I definitely agree with that statement.We seem to live in a world completely controlled by the left brain.....but we are just narrowing our perspective and that totally destroys empathy,imagination and creativity which are accually the terms that has been a base to every science! We need to think with both parts and broaden our vision.

Jung Personality Test

I stumbled upon this site and took the test,for me it was acually quite accurate,my result was an INFJ(lol ,but i dont think that im likely to support marijuana legalization!) Although personality is a very complicated term and cannot be divided into categories,i think this test has a good accuaracy.

Mistakes.....????

Making a 'mistake',an action most of us are afraid of...A term we try to avoid.But if we were all flawless,how interesting will our lives be?,would there be a word called 'flawless'?,would we even be human????
The truth is since we are all human and not emotionless robots,then we are bound to make mistakes,we are expected to experience pain ,therefore we learn the right way by making mistakes and since we know what pain feels like,we also get to know what true 'happiness' is.After all we even learned how to stand on our own feet by falling...getting up...falling again...then finally one day we can stand still without falling down again,what made us successful?..we NEVER GAVE UP! The worst mistake is being so scared to make one that we dont try.What should we do when we make a mistake?...give up completely?,cover it up?,start a new page?....no,we should cross it out and write the right answer instead.That way we will finally learn the right way appreciating the path to the wrong way......

Through The Reflection

Why do we all seem to worry about what others think of us? When really the other person also thinks the same way...Constantly trying to fit into those terms we consider 'perfect',what is that? being skinny,having a tan,being very social,sucsessful at our job/school,smiling all the time?????????? However we just end up in pointless diets created by some artifical celebrity,covering ourselves in fake tan but looking like a carrot at the same time,adding random starangers on facebook so we have 700 friends and satisfy our 'social status',stressing out for many little things and having a fake smile painted on our face.In the end we start to look at our selves from our reflections in others eyes,which are infact mostly pointless critism and lies...Eventually we forget our own mirror and our real reflection,so if we are all human and everyone one of us has felt this way at some point in our lives we should realise that the 'perfect' we know is just another term made up in our minds,a term media,magazines,adverts etc... has embedded to the way we think.So,who cares? we should look at our reflections from our own mirrors,not sculpt that image into a lie with others opinions...
